Before & After School Kids Club

Kids Club is a before- and/or after-school childcare program administered by the Omaha Public Schools Foundation that serves children currently enrolled at their host elementary school. 

The program is designed to provide safe, supervised care through a planned schedule of recreational and in-room activities, including arts and crafts, games, reading and storytelling, music, drama, time to complete school assignments, and free play.

School breakfast is provided to all participants, and an after-school snack is included at no additional charge. 

Kids Club serves children ages 5 (kindergarten) through age 13 (sixth grade), and students may only attend the program at the school they currently attend.

Hours of Operation

Kids Club is open at 6:30 AM at all designated sites until school begins (approximately 8:35 AM) and from dismissal of school (approximately 4:05 PM) until 6:00 PM.

Days of Operation

Kids Club operates at each designated site on days when Omaha Public Schools are in session for in-person classroom learning and follows the OPS in-person learning calendar. Please note that Kids Club does not offer programming on no-school days for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Kids Club Registration

A reservation and registration is required before attending Kids Club. We are not a drop-in childcare program.

New registrations for schools with full rosters will automatically be placed on a waitlist. Waitlists are actively monitored, and students will be enrolled as space becomes available in accordance with our first-come, first-served policy.

Kids Club Registration Fee

Upon registration, this is an annual NON-REFUNDABLE fee:

 $40.00 (per child)

*If your registration is placed on a waitlist, the registration fee will not be charged. Once a spot becomes available and your registration is activated, the registration fee will be charged to complete your child’s enrollment and allow them to attend the program.

Weekly Fees

The flat rate is the required weekly tuition and is due whether or not your child attends, in order to keep their reserved spot in Kids Club.

AM Only — $60.00 weekly (per child)
PM Only — $50.00 weekly (per child)
AM and PM — $90.00 weekly (per child)
Scholarship AM Only — $20.00 weekly (per child)*
Scholarship AM and PM — $25.00 weekly (per child)*
* Scholarship sites are based off of DHHS regulations. See scholarship sites below.

• Fees are sent out every Monday. We also accept payments in advance and/or all accounts can be set up as automatic payment.
• If you will not be using Kids Club for any reason, it is your responsibility to contact the OPSF to cancel your child's registration and deactivate your account. 
• A $25.00 extra charge will be applied to your account if the child attends an unscheduled time. (i.e., only if your child is registered for AM care and attends PM care.)
• Before care is available beginning at 6:30 AM until start of school.
• After care is available after school (approximately 4:05pm) until 6:00 PM.
• Parents/guardians must accompany their child to check in and out of the program regardless of the child’s age. 
• The late pick up fee is $25.00; $25 for every 15 minutes, or fraction thereof, per child picked up after 6:00pm. This is based off the Kids Club clock.

Your Account

Kids Club operates independently from Omaha Public Schools (OPS), and as such, we do not have access to or share student enrollment or status information with OPS. If there are any changes to your child’s status with OPS, it is the family’s responsibility to notify and update OPSF directly to ensure our records remain accurate.

Your account must remain in good standing to retain your access to Kids Club.  Failure to pay your Kids Club bill by the due date may result in suspension and termination from the Kids Club program.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS BALANCE WITH KIDS CLUB or ECE PRE-K, THIS HAS TO BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO REGISTRATION. IF YOU ARE A DHHS SUBSIDIARY, CONTACT THE OPSF OFFICE BEFORE REGISTRATION.
