About our Program

Providing planned educational programming for children ages 4-5 that will equip them with the skills and knowledge needed for kindergarten readiness. Our classrooms utilize the Creative Curriculum, Second Step Curriculum and enrich learning through various hands-on activities.

ECE Parent Pay Pre-K is held in the following Omaha Public Schools (OPS) elementary buildings and administered by the Omaha Public Schools Foundation (OPSF):  Columbian, Picotte, Saddlebrook, Standing Bear and Western Hills.

ECE Pre-K follows the OPS elementary calendar for monthly and daily schedule. School starts at 8:35am and ends at 4:05pm. ECE in addition to an education program also provides wrap around before and after childcare for students; options to drop off as early as 6:30am and pick up as late as 6:00pm.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided to all students by OPSF.

Weekly Fees

ECE Parent Pay PreK -- $250.00 weekly (per child)
One-time, per year $75 non-refundable registration fee to process your application.

The flat rate is the required tuition amount due regardless of attendance to retain the reserved spot in ECE Pre-K.
All fees are applied to accounts on Mondays for the current week.

ECE is not discounted due to OPS-designated no school days, including both scheduled and snow/cold weather-related closures. 
For shortened weeks OPSF offers consolidated days to all current OPSF PreK students. Consolidated Day schedule will be communicated prior to the start of school. 

Requirements of Program

Students MUST be 4 years of age on or before the first day of school, August 20, 2026!

• If your child will turn 4 years of age after August 20, 2026, registration may be accepted to start after their birthdate.  
  • No exceptions for children under the age of 4 to attend our ECE Parent Pay Pre-K program. 

All children enrolled in the ECE Pre-K program must be fully toilet trained and able to use the restroom independently. Children must not require restroom assistance and must demonstrate age-appropriate hygiene skills. This includes recognizing the need to use the restroom, using the toilet, managing clothing, wiping, flushing, and washing hands without staff assistance. Staff may provide supervision and verbal reminders only and are not permitted to assist with wiping, clothing, or toileting. While we understand that children are still learning and occasional accidents may occur, frequent accidents or repeated need for staff support indicate that a child may not developmentally ready for the Pre-K setting. In these cases, families may be asked to pause enrollment, transition programs, or make alternative arrangements.

OPSF will need the below documents:

1. Copy of Birth Certificate
2. Copy of MOST RECENT Immunization records
3. 2 Copies of Address for Verification

*All items are sent directly to OPS for verification. If documents are not provided prior to the first day of school, student will not be able to attend and registration will be cancelled.

Ready to Register?

Before registering for Pre-K, you must first create a Family Membership Account.

Once your membership registration is completed, you will be able to log in to your account and register your child in Kids Club or in one of our Pre-K programs, depending on eligibility.

If you have a pending balance from the previous year with Kids Club or Pre-K, please call our office at 402-502-3032. 

If you have created a Family Membership Account already, you can log in here to register your child in Kids Club or Pre-K (depending on eligibility) for the upcoming school year.
